When We Get To Heaven

My entire family is still processing the death of my 36-year-old niece. Her surviving twin brother is, of course, dealing with more than the rest of us can imagine. It has been more than a month since she passed away but for him, it feels like yesterday.

Whenever someone I love dies, the first thing I think about is whether or not they had accepted Christ. Thankfully, I have not lost anyone who, to my knowledge, rejected the Lord. So I can be sad for my loss but happy for their gain. And it always makes me think about Heaven.

That simple and beautiful song, "Dancing in the Sky" by Dani and Lizzy captures some of my thoughts. I do wonder what my loved ones are doing in Heaven.

When I was thinking about my niece recently, I had to smile because I was thinking that she was seeing everything beautiful. She could be talking with the Lord about what he named the stars. She could be feeling the warmth of God's love shining on her. She really could be dancing in the sky.

In my mind, I imagine that it would take an eternity for us to explore Heaven and never see it all. How wonderful to think that my niece will never again know fear or sadness or tears on her face. When looking for some description of Heaven, Got Questions shares this in part:

The city is filled with the brilliance of costly stones and crystal clear jasper. Heaven has twelve gates (Revelation 21:12) and twelve foundations (Revelation 21:14). The paradise of the Garden of Eden is restored: the river of the water of life flows freely and the tree of life is available once again, yielding fruit monthly with leaves that “heal the nations” (Revelation 22:1-2). However eloquent John was in his description of heaven, the reality of heaven is beyond the ability of finite man to describe (1 Corinthians 2:9).

I emphasized that last part because it is so definitely true. Whenever I find myself dazzled by anything beautiful in this world, I know that everything in Heaven will be infinitely more beautiful. That just overwhelms my mind and makes me so happy.

So, I'm thinking about my niece and my mother and all the other loved ones I have lost. And I am trying to imagine their joy at being with the Lord. Old people use to have a saying that we should mourn coming into this world and rejoice at leaving it. That was meant, of course, for those who put their faith in Jesus. Those people described someone's death as their "homegoing". Not everyone is choosing that destination though. We all need to pray for everyone to spend their eternity with the Lord.

The Biggest (and Actual) Conspiracy of Them All

I think it may have been Dave Chapelle who quipped that he "is a conspiracy theorist - to a point". If he didn't say that about himself, I will say it about myself.

To admit that you believe in conspiracies is kind of odd. I don't believe in conspiracies for the most part. I do have an interest in a lot of the theories. The one conspiracy I believe in, I believe in.

When I tell you that the main theory I believe in is satanic, don't walk away just yet. I have proof that will even stand up for some non-Bible believers.

The general theory I believe in is that there is a conspiracy and it's not just against the rich or poor or black or white or one-percenters or ninety-nine percenters - it's against all mankind.

For those of you who are not Bible believers, ask yourself if there is no conspiracy - or are no conspiracies - why isn't the world getting better as we humans become more "advanced"? Why haven't we solved the problems of poverty, crime, social abuse, and so on? If we are "evolving" (as many people seem to accept as a truth), why are we not evolving into a better species?

I will just leave that one there for some of you to think about. For those of you not opposed to hearing about the satanic part of this, read on.

The Satanic Conspiracy is also one waged against all mankind. My most-admired Bible teacher, the late Chuck Missler, would often say something to the effect that we are all pawns in a war between Good and Evil. Some of us understand that and have actively chosen a side. Some people are passive - which puts them on the side of Evil by default.

There is no excuse for the consenting human to not be aware of this great war.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard (Psalm 19:1-3).

While that reads beautifully and poetically, it is a scientific truth. The men and women who study the skies and the earth can in no other way explain the glories described. Those of us who don't have academic backgrounds in these areas only have to look up and around to understand the truth.

Satan's agenda is that we not acknowledge a Divine Creator but strive to explain Him away - or become like Him. That was Satan's original goal - to become God - and he's been working ever since to infect us with the same sinful wish.

If there is no God, then there would be no struggle for Satan (and man) to ever strive to become "godlike". Men would be naturally content. We wouldn't have wonder and curiosity and a love of beauty or a wish for happiness. We would just be.

So, the biggest conspiracy is the one that started when Satan fell and began enticing man to "fall" with him. If you want to believe otherwise, you have no one to convince but yourself.

Evolution? #ELIF - Part One (Chicken and Egg)

Q: Which came first - the protein or the DNA? (I think of this like I do "which came first, the chicken or the egg?")

My answer is that protein and DNA were created together when God created man.

As Chuck Missler points out in one of his Bible study sessions on the Book of Genesis (specifically this video), you can't have DNA without protein and you can't have protein without DNA. So how else does one solve that dilemma?

Chuck Missler Genesis Session 06 Ch 1 20 23 Day Five

As far as the chicken and the egg, the chicken came first. God created the animals and those animals began to reproduce. The same would go for parents and children.

And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [2] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

Evolutionists, explain to me what you believe and why.
